Habilitation Training Specialists support individuals with intellectual disabilities by teaching every day living skills and assisting them to live in their home communities.

You will work regular and set schedules, giving you plenty of opportunity for time with your family. We have shifts available in the day and night. Overnight shifts are ideal for students who can study while working and that will work with your schedule.

Full time positions include a $3,000 annual benefit package including vacation, paid time off, extra pay for working seven holidays per year, paid training, medical, vision, dental and life insurance!
Sign on bonus is available of $1,000 to $1,250.

Habilitation Training Specialists assist and teaches adults or children with intellectual and/or physical disabilities with activities of daily living and community engagement. Duties may include:
- Assist and teach persons served with daily personal tasks, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, eating, walking, transferring or safety/emergency responses;
- Teach life skills, daily living and personal care skills;
- Assist and teach persons served housekeeping and home maintenance tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning, washing dishes, tidying;
- Assist individuals served with appointments and errands and organize a schedule;
- Assist and teach individuals served the use of technology and communication devices;
- Assist and teach persons served to manage medications;
- Assist and teach persons served to manage their personal finances;
- Organize transportation arrangements to/from appointments, including public transportation, adapted public transportation, driving, etc.;
- Assisting and teaching persons served to shop for groceries, clothing or other items;
- Assist and teach individuals served to prepare meals that meet their dietary needs;
- Assist and encourage individuals served engagement in social networks and communities, hobbies, socialization/companionship, care of pets, exercising, etc.
